Job Title: Power BI Data Analytics Specialist Location: Hybrid, Dearborn Michigan Job Type: W2 Contract Expected Hours per Week: 40 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–5 Pay Range: $34-36 per hour Position Description This role supports Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives across powertrain engineering organizations by providing data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and project tracking support. The Engineering Data Analytics Specialist develops business intelligence solutions that enable engineering teams to achieve cost-reduction goals through actionable insights, executive reporting, and data-driven decision making. The position partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, product development, and program teams to monitor cost-saving initiatives, track implementation progress, and improve reporting efficiency. Key Responsibilities β€’ Analyze engineering and cost-related datasets. β€’ Perform data mining, trend analysis, and quantitative reporting. β€’ Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools. β€’ Create executive-level visualizations, reports, and KPI scorecards. β€’ Automate reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency. β€’ Track cost-saving initiatives, project milestones, and action items. β€’ Support engineering reviews, status meetings, and program reporting. β€’ Develop standardized metrics and KPI reporting methodologies. β€’ Maintain data integrity and validate data accuracy across reporting systems. β€’ Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams. β€’ Support cross-functional projects and business intelligence initiatives. Required Qualifications β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. β€’ 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or engineering analytics. β€’ Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, automotive, or product development organizations. β€’ Experience managing large datasets. β€’ Experience creating executive-level dashboards and reports. β€’ Experience developing reporting metrics and analytics tools. β€’ Experience supporting cross-functional teams and project activities. β€’ Advanced Power BI and Microsoft Excel skills. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Automotive industry experience. β€’ Powertrain engineering support experience. β€’ Experience supporting Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives. β€’ Experience supporting cost-reduction programs. β€’ SQL, DAX, and Power Query experience. β€’ Experience with Power Automate and SharePoint. β€’ Experience utilizing AI-driven reporting and analytics tools.
