Role description
Akkodis is seeking a Power BI Developer I for a 24-month contract role in Akron, OH- Onsite. Title: Power BI Developer I Location: Akron, OH 44320 Duration: 24-month project Pay Range: $45-48/hr. (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Job Summary This position reports to the Asset Information & Tools (AIT) group and is located at the Fairlawn facility in Akron. The AIT group is responsible for partnering with our Transmission and Distribution organizations to implement the tools, processes and procedures necessary to support our asset management and compliance programs. Responsibilities: โ€ข Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety. โ€ข Analyzing complex issues and developing actionable recommendations; ensuring decisions impacting the organization are based on data and sound reasoning. โ€ข Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and expectations. โ€ข Developing Power BI reporting solutions with emphasis on asset management and compliance. โ€ข Utilize Power BI to gather, transform, and visualize data from various sources such as Oracle, Excel, APIs, and SQL, creating interactive dashboards that present key insights to stakeholders. โ€ข Work closely with system owners and business stakeholders to enhance data quality and resolve data integration issues. โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Transmission and Distribution business units to understand data requirements, design meaningful visualizations, and drive informed decisions. โ€ข Train end-users on effectively utilizing Power BI tools to meet their specific needs, fostering a data-driven culture. โ€ข Participating in team design discussions and exploring creative solutions to existing business challenges. โ€ข Performing testing and validation of reporting solution candidates prior to migration to production. โ€ข Work with Leadership to define work assignments, priorities and provide regular status updates. โ€ข Collaborate with other Power BI developers. Qualifications include: โ€ข A minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence areas working with the Microsoft Power BI platform. โ€ข 3+ years of relevant analytical experience โ€ข Demonstrated history of producing successful Power BI reporting solutions. โ€ข Excellent customer relations skills and strong communication skills to make clear, accurate, and concise oral and written reports. โ€ข Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. โ€ข Ability to work collaboratively with others and to provide excellent customer service, as well as work independently. โ€ข Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information to various levels in the organization. โ€ข Excellent analytical abilities involving complex problems; exercise sound judgment; detail-oriented. โ€ข Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships. โ€ข Familiarity with Relational databases including Oracle & MS SQL Server. โ€ข Experience in Energy Delivery (ED) transmission/distribution systems or in general business operations is a plus. โ€ข Familiarity with transmission substation equipment and related attributes and configuration is a plus.
