Power BI Developer / BI Engineer New York, NY: (Hybrid - 1 Day in Office) 6 - 12 + Months $44 - $45/HR Overview: Seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to lead a BI modernization project, migrating dashboards from QlikSense and Cognos to Power BI integrated with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key Responsibilities: Rebuild and optimize dashboards in Power BI using DAX, Power Query, and advanced data models. Integrate Power BI with BigQuery and design scalable semantic models for self-service analytics. Collaborate on ETL pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow. Optimize performance using DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and BI best practices. Manage Power BI governance, workspaces, refresh schedules, and user access. Maintain basic administration and migration knowledge of QlikView/QlikSense. Requirements: Strong Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Tabular modeling) experience. Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage). Familiarity with QlikView/QlikSense and data modeling (star schema, ETL). Proficiency in SQL and data performance optimization. Preferred: Experience in BI governance, RLS, and enterprise BI modernization. Power BI or GCP certifications a plus. Tools: Power BI, Qlik Sense, QlikView, GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage), Oracle, Excel.
