Role description
Job Role: Power BI Developer / Business Analyst
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid Onsite)
Eligibility: US Citizens & GC holders only
Pay Rate: $70-$72/hr. on W2
Work Schedule: FT/40 hours per week – Hybrid M/F remote T/W/R in office
Contract – expected length of assignment is 6 months (June 2026 – December 2026); chance for extension is possible/not likely
Top 3 Skills Needed:
• Data Analysis & Requirements Translation
• Ability to gather inputs from program leadership and stakeholders, translate them into clear requirements, and turn messy data into usable insights.
• Dashboard & Reporting Development (Power BI)
• Skill in building clear, executive‑ready dashboards that track portfolio health (schedule, risk, workload, metrics) and support decision‑making.
• Business Acumen & Communication
• Capability to explain data trends and insights in plain language to leaders and partners, not just produce visuals.
Candidate MUST haves:
• Hands‑on Power BI experience
• Proven experience developing dashboards and reports used by leadership or decision‑makers.
• Strong SQL + Excel skills
• Ability to query, validate, transform, and reconcile data across multiple sources.

Education Level/Type: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience – data analytics and/or business analysis experience and power bi certification would be a strong preference but not required
Specific Experience: Technical/Software

• Excel – Data analysis, reconciliation, and ad‑hoc reporting
• Familiarity with Utility data / Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing Platform (CC&B) preferred/not required
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, ideally Saratoga CRM – preferred but not required

They work independently or as part of a team to create data visualizations that enable organizations to make informed decisions. Responsibilities may include:
• Gathering and analyzing business requirements for reports and dashboards.
• Developing complex data models and datasets in Power BI.
• Designing and creating interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Collaborating with business users and stakeholders to refine report designs and functionality.
• Implementing advanced data transformation and cleansing processes in Power BI.
• Writing and optimizing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries to extract and manipulate data.
