Role description
We are seeking a Power BI Developer to design and build impactful dashboards and visualizations across Power BI and Snowflake, transforming data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and fit.
This role is based on-site in Boca Raton, FL, with occasional flexibility. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
You will partner with business stakeholders and a small IT/data team to understand reporting needs, model data, and deliver polished, high-performance dashboards using Power BI and Snowflakeβs Snowsight.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the business
β’ Build Snowsight visualizations and dashboards directly against Snowflake data
β’ Partner with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear, intuitive dashboards
β’ Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and data models in Snowflake to support reporting needs
β’ Ensure dashboards are performant, accurate, and aligned with data governance and security standards
β’ Troubleshoot data discrepancies and collaborate with source system owners to resolve root causes
β’ Document data sources, metric definitions, and dashboard logic for long-term maintainability
β’ Contribute to continuous improvement of BI tools, reporting practices, and data visualization standards
Required Qualifications
β’ 4+ years of experience developing BI dashboards and visualizations in a business environment
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M)
β’ Experience building visualizations in Snowsight
β’ Strong SQL skills with experience writing optimized queries in Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension design)
β’ Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
β’ Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
β’ Highly organized with strong attention to detail
β’ Available to start on a contract basis with openness to conversion to full-time employment
β’ Ability to work primarily on-site in Boca Raton, FL
Nice to Have
β’ Experience with Snowflake ecosystem tools (roles, warehouses, performance tuning, Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks)
β’ Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or other modern ETL/ELT tools
β’ Experience implementing row-level security and role-based access in Power BI
