Job Title: Power BI Developer Location: Jackson, MI Type: Contract (with potential for extension based on performance) Objective We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to replace an existing CTR headcount and support Gas & Shared Services Operational Reporting. This is a budgeted 1:1 replacement role essential for maintaining high-quality reporting and analytics that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making. Team Overview: Who We Serve: OneGas Work Management, Waste Elimination, Fultz / Kapala, Bowers, Beach, LEAN Impact: • Supports ~53% of Consumers Energy’s reporting and analytics needs • Handles ~75 Power BI requests per month (~900 annually) • Maintains mission-critical Power Apps • Delivers over $50,000 in Human Struggle Savings annually • Maintains key assets: Data Workplan (Gas/Electric Distribution & Service), Gas On A Page, Statewide Crewing/OT (Electric LVD) Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making • Analyze data to uncover trends and actionable insights • Present data findings to stakeholders across all levels • Maintain and enhance existing Power BI reports and mission-critical Power Apps • Create ad-hoc and standardized reports • Automate data processes and reporting workflows • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Required Skills: • Power BI and Power Platform • Python, R, or SQL for data transformation and automation • Strong understanding of Gestalt principles for dashboard design • Data analysis and visualization expertise • Experience with Business Objects and report development • Requirements gathering and stakeholder communication • Ability to build automated data pipelines and processes Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
