Role description
Client: Leading Energy & Utilities Organization
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid β 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Our client, supported by Allied Resources Technical Consultants, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Power BI Developer) to support a federal areawide energy program. This role is focused on transforming complex project and financial data into clear, executive-ready insights that drive portfolio visibility and strategic decision-making.
This is a high-impact position working closely with program leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to build reporting solutions that support large-scale utility initiatives.
Key Highlights:
β’ Develop and deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
β’ Translate business needs and stakeholder inputs into clear, actionable data requirements.
β’ Analyze and transform complex datasets into meaningful insights for program leadership.
β’ Support portfolio tracking across schedule, risk, workload, and performance metrics.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in a fast-paced utility environment.
β’ Contribute to a federal energy savings program tied to construction and infrastructure initiatives.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Data Analytics, Business Analysis, or related field (or equivalent experience).
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboard and report development).
β’ Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation, and transformation.
β’ Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
β’ Proven experience as a Business Analyst, including requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
β’ Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical audiences and leadership.
β’ Experience developing reporting solutions used for decision-making.
Preferred Experience:
β’ Experience within the Utilities industry.
β’ Familiarity with Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B).
β’ Exposure to CRM platforms (Saratoga CRM preferred).
β’ Power BI certification is a plus.
Additional Details:
β’ Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
β’ Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension
β’ Work Environment: Hybrid (Monday & Friday remote; TuesdayβThursday onsite)
β’ Team Structure: Collaborative team of 5 with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
