Role description
Looking for a Power BI Engineer.
Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid
Summary: Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role translates business requirements into visual dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities: Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Connect to various data sources and transform data using Power Query or other methods. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver intuitive visualizations. Develop and maintain complex measures using DAX. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all BI solutions. Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of BI assets.
Skills: Proven experience with Power BI and Power Query. Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and relational databases. Replace with βProficiency in SQL and DAX. Familiarity with Azure services, Power Platform, or other BI tools. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Candidates with experience in working with the following datasets are preferred: JIRA data, project management service now data, financial and HR data. Optional but preferred skill: Experience building custom PowerBI visualizations using Python/R
