Power BI Developer

Job Title: Power BI Developer Work Type: Remote Opportunity. Please note that this role is open for USC and GC candidates only. We also welcome C2C opportunities or direct W2 positions. We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 7–8 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires strong expertise in data transformation, data modeling, SQL, and performance optimization to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders. The candidate should have experience working with large datasets, multiple data sources, and enterprise BI environments, and should be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions. Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business users. · Build and optimize data models, relationships, and measures using DAX. · Develop ETL/ELT processes using Power Query, SQL, or other data integration tools. · Connect Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, GCP, Snowflake, APIs, Excel, and cloud databases. · Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query (M language). · Optimize report performance and ensure efficient data refresh and query performance. · Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions. · Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage data access controls. · Maintain Power BI service environments, including dataset refresh schedules and workspace management. · Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards across dashboards and reports. · Provide documentation, training, and support to business users. · Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions. Required Qualifications · 7–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics. · Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop & Service). · Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M Language). · Strong experience in SQL and relational databases. · Experience building data models, star schemas, and optimized datasets. · Experience integrating Power BI with cloud data platforms ( GCP, BigQuery, etc.). · Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact tables, dimension tables). · Experience with performance tuning and report optimization. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. · Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
