Power BI Developer – End-to-End Reporting
Location: London / Horsham - Hybrid
Client : Global IT and consulting services company
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Power BI Developer to join our client's growing data and analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in delivering end-to-end, production-ready reporting solutions and enjoys working with modern Microsoft data technologies, including Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising high-quality dashboards while also driving best practices, documentation standards, and capability uplift across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions, from data preparation to production-ready dashboards
• Build scalable and performant semantic data models using Power Query (M) and DAX
• Create intuitive, visually compelling dashboards using strong data visualisation and UX principles
• Optimise Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Work with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Dataflows, semantic models) as part of the modern data stack
• Develop and maintain clear documentation for datasets, measures, models, and reports
• Promote Power BI best practices across development teams
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to analysts and developers
Core Requirements
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions in production environments
• Strong expertise in Power Query (M) for data transformation and shaping
• Advanced proficiency in DAX with clean, maintainable modelling practices
• Strong understanding of data visualisation principles and report UX design
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and integration with Power BI
• Strong documentation skills across datasets, models, and reporting layers
• Experience in supporting and upskilling BI users and development teams
