Power BI Developer
Location: Richardson, TX 75082
Must work onsite Mon - Tues -Wed at the Richardson office.
9-12 months hybrid contract
Must have 12+ years of experience in Power BI development with Certification into PowerBI
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards.
β’ Translate Figma designs into visually appealing and functional Power BI reports.
β’ Create data visualizations and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
β’ Develop and maintain data models using Power BI data modeling features.
β’ Connect to various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, and other cloud-based data sources.
β’ Write DAX formulas and queries to create calculated columns and measures.
β’ Implement and integrate Power BI reports and dashboards within internal and external applications using embedded analytics techniques.
β’ Customize the Power BI user experience to align with application branding and user needs.
β’ Optimize report performance and data refresh.
β’ Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Power BI reports and datasets to ensure automated deployment and version control.
β’ Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage Power BI project code and collaborate effectively with team members.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide solutions.
β’ Develop and maintain data governance and security policies.
β’ Integrate and mash-up data from diverse sources, including Excel spreadsheets and SharePoint lists.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Power BI reports and dashboards.
β’ Stay up-to-date with new features and updates in Power BI.
β’ Understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its components (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lakehouse, Warehouse).
Technical Skills:
