Job Title: Power BI Developer (Mid-Level) / Business Analyst Location: Baltimore MD 21201 Duration of Contract: 6months with Potential to extend Salary Range: $70-$80hr plus benefits @90 days (healthcare/401k) Work Schedule: 40hrs Format: Hybrid Tue, Wed, Thu In Office (M&F WFH) W2 Role β€’ β€’ β€’ MUST CURRENTLY LIVE WITHIN EASY DAILY COMMUTE TO THIS LOCATION β€’ β€’ β€’ Overview We are seeking a mid-level Power BI Developer with strong business analysis capabilities to support portfolio reporting and data-driven decision-making. This role will partner closely with program leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to transform complex, messy data into clear, actionable insights through impactful dashboards and reporting. The ideal candidate is not just a report builder, but a data translator and storyteller who can bridge the gap between technical data and business needs. Key Responsibilities β€’ Collaborate with program leadership and stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements β€’ Translate business needs into data models, metrics, and reporting solutions β€’ Design and develop executive-ready Power BI dashboards focused on: β€’ Portfolio health β€’ Schedule tracking β€’ Risk monitoring β€’ Workload and performance metrics β€’ Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources β€’ Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation β€’ Use Excel for ad-hoc analysis, data validation, and reporting support β€’ Provide clear, concise insights and recommendations to leadership in non-technical language β€’ Continuously improve dashboards and reporting based on stakeholder feedback β€’ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting assets Required Skills & Qualifications Top 3 Core Competencies β€’ Data Analysis & Requirements Translation β€’ Ability to convert stakeholder input into structured requirements and meaningful insights β€’ Power BI Dashboard Development β€’ Expertise in building intuitive, executive-facing dashboards that drive decisions β€’ Business Acumen & Communication β€’ Strong ability to explain data trends and insights to non-technical audiences Must-Have Experience β€’ Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard and report development β€’ Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel β€’ Data querying, transformation, validation, and reconciliation β€’ Proven experience working as a Business Analyst β€’ Requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder collaboration β€’ Experience supporting leadership-level reporting and decision-making Preferred Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) β€’ Power BI certification (strongly preferred) β€’ Experience working with utility data environments β€’ Familiarity with: β€’ Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) β€’ CRM platforms, ideally Saratoga CRM What Success Looks Like β€’ Delivery of clear, accurate, and actionable dashboards used by leadership β€’ Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights β€’ Strong partnership with stakeholders, demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced environment β€’ Continuous improvement of reporting to align with evolving business needs
