Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer Pay Rate: Up to $65 per hour W2 Location: Remote (must live in Arizona) Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (required for specific government/legal contract compliance). We are seeking a Senior Power BI Front-End Developer to transform complex data into compelling visual narratives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical data engineering and executive decision-making, designing high-impact dashboards that directly influence healthcare delivery and regulatory compliance. If you are a specialist in UI/UX for Business Intelligence and possess the technical depth to build scalable data models, this position offers the opportunity to lead innovation within a sophisticated Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystem. Here’s What You’ll Be Doing • Design and develop intuitive, high-performance Power BI reports utilizing advanced features like drill-throughs, bookmarks, and custom hierarchies to deliver an engaging user experience. • Build robust semantic models using DAX and Power Query (M) to create scalable measures, KPIs, and pixel-perfect paginated reports for enterprise-wide distribution. • Apply modern design principles, color theory, and data storytelling techniques to ensure dashboards are not only functional but aesthetically aligned with brand standards and user needs. • Partner with stakeholders and data engineers to translate ambiguous business questions into technical requirements, serving as the subject matter expert on BI governance and visualization best practices. • Improve report efficiency and load times while leveraging Power Automate to orchestrate data refreshes and lifecycle management within the Power BI Service. Here’s What Our Ideal Candidate Has • At least 5 years of dedicated experience with Power BI Desktop and Service, including deep knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace governance. • Strong command of SQL and relational database structures, with the ability to navigate star schemas and normalized data models. • A portfolio or proven track record demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of UI/UX principles specifically tailored for data visualization. • Preferred experience with healthcare operations, specifically Medicaid terminology (claims, encounters, eligibility), to provide immediate value to regulatory reporting.
