The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a motivated and skilled Power BI Developer to support the development of dashboards across its teams.
You will play a central role in the university’s transition from its current dashboarding software to Power BI, working closely with key stakeholders to create insightful and user-friendly dashboards.
As part of a team of analysts, you will oversee each stage of the development process, from design and technical development through to testing and rollout, while also reviewing and refining existing dashboard content prior to rebuilding this in Power BI.
You will prioritise the needs of end users while maximising the capabilities of Power BI. Additionally, you will support the adoption of the new software, contributing to demonstrations and training to both technical and non-technical users.
About you
You will have proven experience developing and implementing high-quality end-to-end reporting and visualisations using Power BI, along with advanced skills in SQL, including experience of writing complex queries and modifying existing scripts.
You should have experience working with large datasets to extract key information and a strong understanding of data management practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate these into meaningful BI solutions. You should also be able to manage your own workload, handle competing priorities, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
