Power BI Developer (Supply Chain)

PowerBI Developer Pay Range: $70/hour to $80/hour Overview A growing organization is seeking a PowerBI Developer to support finance and accounting operations through data analytics, reporting, and dashboard development. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to build scalable reporting solutions, improve operational visibility, and support ERP and business application initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and business intelligence expertise with analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to finance and accounting operations • Create dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models to support strategic decision-making • Design and optimize SQL queries and data visualization solutions using tools such as Power BI • Analyze and interpret business data to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements • Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, and application development teams to support ERP and reporting initiatives • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions • Support continuous improvement efforts through data-driven recommendations and reporting enhancements • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail • Present findings, reporting insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership teams Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 2+ years of experience with SQL development and business intelligence/reporting tools such as Power BI • 2+ years of experience in analytics, finance, accounting, operations, or related business functions • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Python, scripting, and Excel macros • Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems • Understanding of finance, accounting, and supply chain business processes • Experience gathering, cleansing, analyzing, and presenting large datasets to drive operational improvements • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and navigate evolving business requirements • Experience translating end-user requirements into technical specifications and system enhancements Technical Skills • SQL Development • Power BI or similar BI/reporting platforms • Data Visualization & Reporting • KPI Development • ERP/MRP Systems • Python & Scripting (preferred) • Excel Macros (preferred) What Success Looks Like • Delivering accurate, scalable, and actionable reporting solutions • Improving visibility into finance and operational performance • Driving process improvements through analytics and data insights • Collaborating effectively across technical and business teams • Supporting strategic initiatives with reliable business intelligence solutions
