Role description
Responsibilities • Translate business and product owner requirements into effective Power BI reports and dashboards. • Design visually compelling and intuitive data visualizations to enhance business insights. • Apply data visualization best practices and semantic data modeling techniques to support analytics initiatives. • Collaborate with product owners and end users to understand business challenges and deliver actionable analytical solutions. • Utilize principles of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design to create impactful visualizations. • Partner with Data Engineering to identify, access, and understand relevant data sources, ensuring alignment with data storage standards and operational excellence. Education & Experience • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI (required); experience with Tableau desired. • 5 years of experience in business intelligence. • 3 - 5 years of experience with relational databases and dimensional modeling. • 3 years of experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). • Experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Data Warehouse). • Experience working in Agile development environments. • Background in healthcare, especially in Home Health, Hospice, or Rehabilitation services. • Experience working within large-scale enterprise data warehouse environments, including navigating complex data ecosystems, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring data integrity across systems Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Expertise in designing effective and user-friendly dashboards for data analysis and presentation. • Proficiency in ad hoc analysis using Excel and querying Azure SQL databases. • Strong command of DAX and Power BI semantic modeling. • Deep Experience with dataflows and Microsoft Fabric environments. • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into comprehensive analytics solutions, including identifying potential conflicts or gaps. • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in cross-functional teams. • Proficiency in the Microsoft data stack and advanced SQL skills for working with large datasets. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
