Job Title: Power BI Report Developer (potential Contract-to-Hire)
Type: 3 months with a potential for contract-to-hire
Location: Onsite (greater Tampa, FL area)
Reports To: Thunderhawk BI Lead
Role Overview
Thunderhawk is seeking a Power BI Report Developer to design, build, and maintain both canned and ad hoc reports for its client (in the real estate loan origination business). This role will work closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable, secure, and insightful dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports using SQL-based data models
• Create reusable datasets and semantic layers for ad hoc reporting
• Implement row-level security and role-based access
• Collaborate with Azure DW and ETL teams to ensure data availability
• Conduct user training and support for ad hoc report creation
• Optimize report performance and usability
Required Skills
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development
• Strong SQL skills for data modeling and DAX calculations
• Experience with Azure Data Warehouse and Power BI Service
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Familiarity with financial reporting and loan servicing metrics
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with McCracken STRATEGY or similar servicing platforms
• Knowledge of Azure AD for authentication and access control
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
