Role description
Role Overview
This is a Power BI specialist role focused on enhancing data governance and IT control reporting. The team is responsible for developing advanced Power BI functionalities and strategic dashboards for critical domains and enterprise-wide assessments. The candidate will be expected to:
Build dashboards from scratch
Enhance and optimize existing dashboards

• Advanced Power BI Development
• Dashboard, Report, and Data Model Creation using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Data Modeling & DAX: Strong grasp of modeling concepts and ability to write complex DAX queries
• SQL Proficiency: Writing queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
• Power Query (M Language): Skilled in data transformation within Power BI
• Data Warehousing Concepts: Familiarity with snowflake schemas and dimensional modeling
Additional Details:
A portfolio is preferred; however, images of previous work are acceptable
Experience leading projects is a plus

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (Associate degrees not considered)
Experience Required: 2–4 years
Internship Experience: Accepted if it includes substantial Power BI or data analytics work, such as:
Dashboard/report development
SQL or data modeling tasks
Typical task breakdown:
· Collaborate with the CLIENT IT Alation Support team to restructure Snowflake schemas, introducing separate Domain and Subdomain fields.
· Collaborate with the Office of Data Excellence team to gather and refine reporting requirements.
· Provide Power BI knowledge transfer and training to the Office of Data Excellence team.
· Update and enhance Power BI reports with new filtering and roll-up capabilities at both Critical Data Domain and Subdomain levels.
Convert existing reports from Power BI Report Builder to Power BI Desktop
· Design and propose new reports to support the Interoperability Accreditation Framework (IAF) and Dealer Progress Tracking.
· Serve as a Power BI Desktop subject matter expert and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
Interaction with team:
· Might need to communicate with CLIENT IT support group
Team Structure:
· Team consists of 5 people
Work environment:
In office 5 days a week
