Power BI Specialist Contract

PowerBI Specialist (Contract) | £350-£450 p/day (Outside IR35) | 3 Months (strong possibility of extension) | ASAP We're hiring on behalf of a fast-growing SaaS company that's looking for an experienced Power BI Specialist to take ownership of their reporting environment. This is a fully remote contract role, starting immediately. The client has a strong BI foundation in place, but they're now looking for someone who can streamline reporting, reduce maintenance, and optimise their use of Power BI at scale. Right now, customer-specific reports are managed individually (e.g. 45+ reports needing updates when a change is made). They want to consolidate, automate, and improve efficiency across their reporting suite. This is not a "start from scratch" build - instead, you'll be reviewing what's already in place, identifying improvements, and implementing changes to drive scalability. Rate: £350-£450 (Outside IR35) Location: Remote Length: 3 months (likely to extend) Start date: ASAP Key Responsibilities • Review, maintain, and optimise existing Power BI reports and DAX queries. • Manage and integrate Power BI via APIs to streamline customer reporting. • Consolidate multiple customer-specific reports into more efficient, scalable solutions. • Support integration of Power BI with Fabric (experience here highly beneficial). • Work with Azure Data Lake and wider Azure ecosystem for data sourcing and performance improvements. • Provide best practice guidance for managing a full reporting suite in a SaaS environment. What We're Looking For • Strong expertise in Power BI (including DAX, query optimisation, and report management). • Proven experience managing Power BI through APIs and driving automation. • Background in scaling BI solutions across multiple customers/environments. • Familiarity with Fabric (hands-on experience a big plus). • Experience with Azure and Data Lakes. • Someone who has managed the full lifecycle of reporting suites, including integrations.
