Role description
Power BI Specialist (Mid-Level) Location: Detroit, MI - Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday - Thursday) Duration: 12 Month Contract Pay: $30-35/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with strong Power BI expertise to join our team. This role will be responsible for transforming complex corporate data into actionable insights through interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, a strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders across the organization. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. β€’ Extract, clean, and transform data from various corporate systems and databases. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business objectives. β€’ Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. β€’ Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms. β€’ Automate recurring reporting tasks and optimize data workflows. β€’ Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support as needed. β€’ Stay current with Power BI updates and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. β€’ 2+ years of experience in a data analyst role, with a focus on Power BI. β€’ Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. β€’ Experience working with large datasets and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle). β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. β€’ Excellent communication and presentation skills. β€’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills: β€’ Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus. β€’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and data warehousing concepts. β€’ Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is a bonus. β€’ Understanding of business operations in [industry, e.g., manufacturing, finance, healthcare].
