Role description
Systems Analyst II – Microsoft Power Platform (Hybrid | Austin, TX) Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Onsite Mon & Tue, Remote Wed–Fri) Duration: Feb 2, 2026 – Aug 31, 2026 Hours: Up to 1,176 hours Client: Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Local Candidates Only: Must currently reside in the Austin, TX area Role Overview The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), in partnership with the Department of Information Resources (DIR), is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst II to support the expansion of the Microsoft 365 Power Platform environment. This role will be part of the MCS team, focusing on custom application development, enhancement, and support using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. The position blends systems analysis and hands-on development, supporting enterprise-scale solutions across HHSC. Key Responsibilities • Analyze business objectives, user requirements, and operational workflows to design effective technical solutions • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify system improvements and automation opportunities • Perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for proposed solutions • Design, develop, and enhance applications using Microsoft Power Platform • Build and maintain: • PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven) • Power Automate cloud flows and desktop flows • Business Process Flows • Power Pages / Power Apps Portals • Utilize Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and other data sources as backend storage • Support governance and best practices using Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) • Document system requirements, application functionality, and technical designs • Work within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning and iterative delivery • Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing Power Platform solutions Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years experience working in SaaS and/or PaaS environments • 4+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform • 4+ years experience with: • PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven) • Microsoft Dataverse • Power Automate (Cloud, Desktop, Business Process Flows) • Power Pages / Portals • Strong experience designing backend data models using Dataverse, SharePoint, or similar technologies • Proven ability to analyze business processes and translate them into technical solutions • Excellent documentation and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Experience with: • Power Platform mobile apps • Power Virtual Agents • Advanced Power Pages and portal configurations Work Schedule & Location • Hybrid schedule: • Onsite: Monday & Tuesday • Remote: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (excluding State holidays) • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required with prior approval Important Notes • Local Austin-area candidates only • Candidates must already reside in Texas • No relocation or travel expenses provided • Background and compliance checks may apply due to state-client requirements PriceSenz is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
