Role description
Power Platform Developer Richmond, VA – Hybrid onsite Through June 2026 CDW Contract Coworker opportunity CDW is seeking an experienced, hands-on Power Platform Developer to design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft’s Power Platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse, with a strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications. This role requires someone who is comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, leading discovery sessions, and ensuring solutions align with best practices and organizational governance. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and configure Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate flows, and Power Pages for internal and external use. β€’ Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365. β€’ Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and SPFx solutions as needed. β€’ Lead requirements gathering and functionality discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders. β€’ Utilize Microsoft Copilot Studio to enhance automation and AI capabilities. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve D365 / Power Platform issues; document solutions and implement fixes. β€’ Participate in code reviews, enforce standards, and ensure adherence to best practices. β€’ Create design documentation, mockups, and prototypes for common use-case scenarios. β€’ Support and refine Power Platform governance and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), including experience with Power Pipelines or ALM Accelerator. β€’ Collaborate in an Agile SDLC environment, contributing to sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives. β€’ Prepare and maintain documentation for platform usage, architecture, and user adoption. Qualifications β€’ Proven hands-on experience developing solutions in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse). β€’ Experience customizing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365. β€’ Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 integration, and PowerShell scripting. β€’ Familiarity with DevOps for Power Platform, including pipelines and ALM best practices. β€’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. β€’ Preferred Certifications: β€’ Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate β€’ Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate Preferred Skills β€’ Experience with Copilot Studio and AI-driven automation. β€’ Knowledge of governance and compliance models within the Power Platform. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on user-centric design. β€’ Experience developing secure, scalable solutions that align with enterprise standards.
