Job Title: Software Development Engineer 2 Location: Remote Daily Schedule & OT estimate: Mon to Fri – 40Hrs/week Payrate: $60-63/Hr. Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience 1. Minimum 4 years experience with development within MS tools: MS Entra Admin, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Bi, Power App) MS Teams, M365, Azure Dev Ops, Copilot Studio (Agent creation), MS Graph Explorer. 1. Minimum 1 year experience with integrating and pulling data from third-party applications and APIs, with an ability to integrate with MS tools 1. Minimum 2 years experience with scripting (e.g., Python, HTML, PowerShell, Visual Studio Code or similar) and coding languages (e.g., C#/HTML) Summary: The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications. Job Responsibilities: β€’ Modify existing databases and database management systems. β€’ Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. β€’ Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations. β€’ Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Additional responsibilities: β€’ Assist in Automation Development: Support the creation and maintenance of scripts and automation tools under the guidance of senior engineers or automation leads supporting Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives. β€’ Testing & Validation: Execute test cases for automation scripts, report issues, and assist in troubleshooting to ensure reliability and accuracy. β€’ 3rd Party Tooling Configuration: Configure and maintain integration between 3rd Party Tooling, Web based Applications with existing MS systems (e.g. Teams, Power Platform, etc.). β€’ Lead End-To-End Tooling Development: gather requirements, build, test, deploy and ongoing support including continuous improvement. Skills: β€’ Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills β€’ Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. β€’ Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. β€’ Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. β€’ Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. β€’ Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, Visual Basic, etc. Education/Experience: β€’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. β€’ 2-4 years experience required.
