Job Title: Power Platform Developer / Programmer Analyst Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Onsite Thursday & Friday, Remote Monday–Wednesday) Duration: Long term Local Candidates Only: Must reside within 50 miles of Austin, TX Note: Need someone with State Of Texas client experience. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer / Programmer Analyst to design, develop, and support enterprise-level applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. The selected candidate will play a key role in expanding and enhancing the organization’s Power Platform environment and supporting custom solutions, such as the Invoice Tracking System (ITS). This position requires strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 Power Platform components, Dataverse, Power Automate, and integration with external systems, along with excellent collaboration and communication abilities. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain Power Platform solutions including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse. • Develop and support model-driven and canvas apps integrated with internal and external systems. • Configure and optimize Power Platform connectors, flows, and custom plug-ins. • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, and testing. • Develop detailed documentation, including technical designs and user guides. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Conduct peer reviews and support application deployment and troubleshooting. • Train and mentor junior developers on Power Platform best practices. • Ensure all development aligns with security, compliance, and accessibility standards. • Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and review sessions. Required Skills and Experience • 8+ years of experience working in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments. • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform development. • Strong proficiency with Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and custom connectors. • Experience designing Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps with Dataverse, SharePoint, or SQL databases. • Good understanding of Power BI, connectors, and external integrations. • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. • Solid knowledge of Power Platform best practices and development standards. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Power Platform mobile apps, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Apps Portals. • Experience developing custom plug-ins using JavaScript or other extensions. • Familiarity with Agile methodology, sprint planning, and DevOps workflows. • Knowledge of Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and administrative best practices. • Prior experience working with state or public sector organizations or within the healthcare domain. Work Conditions • Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite (Thursday & Friday), 3 days remote. • May require occasional work outside regular business hours (evenings/weekends). • Candidates must be local to Austin, TX (no relocation or out-of-state candidates). • Regular working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
