The Power Apps Developer position is a dynamic 6+ month contract role that involves designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level applications using the Microsoft Power Platform. The developer is responsible for translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and efficient solutions that empower users to automate workflows and streamline processes. They must be adept at leveraging Power Apps low-code/no-code environment to create custom apps that integrate with various data sources and services, including Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, and numerous other APIs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Power Platform components, including Power Automate for workflow automation and Power BI for analytics and data visualization. They should have experience with model-driven and canvas app development, and a solid grasp of data modeling, security, and compliance standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other Microsoft 365 services like SharePoint, Teams, and Dynamics 365 is also a key part of the role.
In addition to technical skills, a Power Apps Developer should have excellent problem-solving abilities, be able to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and able to maintain a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest updates and best practices within the Power Platform ecosystem.
Examples of work performed:
• Designing and building custom business applications using Power Apps canvas and model-driven methods.
• Integrating Power Apps with various data sources such as Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, and other external APIs.
• Creating automated workflows with Power Automate to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
• Developing Power BI dashboards and reports for real-time analytics and data visualization.
• Ensuring data security and compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.
• Providing technical support and maintenance for existing Power Apps solutions.
• Staying up to date with the latest updates and features released for the Power Platform.
• Optimizing app performance and user experience through continuous improvement and updates.
• Documenting the development process, including code comments, user guides, and deployment instructions.
