Role description
JustinBradley's client, a leading source of mortgage financing, seeking a technically strong and business-savvy Power Platform Developer to support the Multifamily Digital Portfolio PMO. This role is focused on enhancing internal automation and improving the way data is collected, reported, and managed using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in Power Platform tools but also a strong communicator capable of understanding business needs and turning them into effective, user-friendly technical solutions. This role involves maintaining and improving three existing Power Apps, analyzing data workflows, and potentially building new apps to support team productivity and planning. Responsibilities • Maintain and enhance three existing Power Apps, including one with a Power BI reporting component. • Replace inefficient solutions (e.g., shared Excel files) with streamlined, clean Power Apps interfaces. • Collect, organize, and report team activity and planning data for internal stakeholders. • Learn and reverse-engineer existing apps with minimal documentation and limited support. • Perform bug fixes and develop enhancements for current tools. • Build new Power Platform solutions as needed to address future requirements. • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint backends. • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Provide end-user support and training on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical outcomes. Requirements • 3–5 years of hands-on development with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. • 8+ years total experience in technical IT roles. • Strong familiarity with SharePoint as a data source (especially regarding list limits and structure). • Ability to understand and work within low-complexity environments with modest data volumes (e.g., ~2,000 rows). • Proficiency in Power FX, DAX queries, PowerShell, and basic scripting. • Experience in light data modeling—organizing structured data for reporting, not large-scale architecture. • Working knowledge of M365 ecosystem and integration techniques. • Ability to reverse-engineer and support existing apps with little documentation. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities. • Capable of working independently and collaboratively. • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into functional apps. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred. • Microsoft PL-400 (Power Platform Developer Associate) certification is a plus. • Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) certification is a plus. • Experience with process gap analysis, solution design, or light ETL processes is beneficial. • Role requires on-site presence 4–5 days/week at the Reston or DC office, with some flexibility to work from either location as needed. JustinBradley is an EO employer - Veterans/Disabled and other protected employees.
