Position Overview
5NINE Data Solutions is seeking a Power Platform Developer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a federal IT modernization program. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform, integrating with SQL and SharePoint, and enabling mission stakeholders to leverage automation, data analytics, and modern digital tools.
This role requires a hands-on technologist with experience in PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work directly with government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
Build and maintain Canvas and Model-Driven PowerApps to automate workflows.
Create and manage Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, and task routing.
Integrate applications with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other M365 tools.
Data Management & Integration
Connect Power Platform solutions with SQL databases, SharePoint lists, and Dataverse.
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and API calls to support data centralization.
Ensure data integrity and security compliance across all integrated systems.
Analytics & Dashboards
Develop Power BI dashboards for centralized reporting and performance metrics.
Provide data visualization to support decision-making by leadership.
Automation & AI
Implement AI-powered features using Microsoft Copilot and embedded intelligence.
Drive automation of manual processes, reducing cycle time for mission workflows.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and refine solutions.
Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing technical support.
Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ yearsβ experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
Experience integrating Power Platform with SQL and SharePoint.
Proficiency in Power FX, JSON, REST APIs, and Common Data Service (Dataverse).
Strong understanding of data security, role-based access control, and compliance frameworks.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or higher.
Preferred:
Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200) or Developer certifications.
Experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, API Management).
Federal IT modernization experience.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
