Role description
Work Authorization: U.S. work authorization required | W2 or candidates with their own LLC/C2C only | No third-party vendors. Focus: Power Apps (Canvas Apps), SharePoint, Power Automate Overview We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to enhance, complete, and scale existing Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas Apps) integrated with SharePoint. The selected candidate will work against a defined backlog to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions aligned with business growth. This is an individual contributor role (not a team engagement). The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in Power Fx, Power Apps architecture, and SharePoint integrations. No foundational training will be provided. Key Responsibilities • Enhance and optimize existing Canvas Apps • Deliver new features based on a prioritized backlog • Improve SharePoint integrations and application performance • Build scalable, reusable components and development patterns • Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows • Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards Phase 1: Assessment & Planning • Review current applications and SharePoint architecture • Prioritize backlog and define delivery plan • Identify performance issues and technical debt • Establish development standards and reusable components Deliverables: • Application assessment report • Prioritized backlog with estimates • Solution architecture overview • Development and governance standards Phase 2: Development Sprints • Execute backlog through iterative sprints • Build and enhance Canvas App functionality (Power Fx) • Optimize SharePoint data integration and performance • Develop Power Automate workflows • Perform QA and peer code reviews Deliverables: • Completed backlog items (sprint releases) • Enhanced and optimized applications • Automated workflows • Technical documentation Phase 3: Stabilization • Performance tuning and bug fixes • Code refactoring for scalability • Validate integrations and data accuracy • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) Deliverables: • Performance optimization report • Final application builds • UAT support and issue tracking Phase 4: Knowledge Transfer • Document architecture and best practices • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions • Provide roadmap for future enhancements Deliverables: • Complete technical documentation • Knowledge transfer sessions • 3–6-month roadmap Nice to Have / Future Opportunity • Experience with enterprise governance models • Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) • Dataverse, APIs, and external system integrations • Experience supporting global teams.
