Power Platform & Power BI Developer – VBA Modernization

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Power Platform & Power BI Developer to lead the modernization of legacy VBA-based applications and reporting solutions. This role will focus on transforming existing Excel/VBA tools into scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. This is a contract to hire position. The salary conversion will be 115k + 5%. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze and assess existing VBA applications and reporting tools to identify modernization opportunities. • Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. • Migrate legacy Excel/VBA workflows into Power Platform applications with improved functionality and user experience. • Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that provide actionable insights. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with business needs. • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all developed solutions. • Provide documentation, training, and support for end-users and stakeholders. • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and best practices. Required Qualifications: • Proven experience developing solutions within Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). • Background in VBA and Excel-based application development. • Experience in modernizing legacy systems and migrating to cloud-based platforms. • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling within Power BI. • Familiarity with SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, or other data sources used in Power Platform. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform or Power BI. • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. • Knowledge of governance and lifecycle management within Power Platform environments.
