Role description
Our client is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform/Power BI Developer with experience in application design, development, and testing.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365, along with expertise in Power BI development for creating reports and dashboards. You will play a key role in delivering technical solutions using the Power Platform and developing impactful data visualizations.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Hybrid 2d/week NYC
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and test applications using Microsoft Power Platform and other relevant technologies.
• Create and implement technical solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform components.
• Develop advanced Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring the effective presentation of data insights.
• Utilize strong data modeling and data visualization skills to deliver impactful business intelligence solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and integration with Power BI reports.
• Implement calculations and metrics using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) in Power BI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work in Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data used in reporting and analysis by following best practices in data warehousing and data management.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within Power Platform applications and Power BI reports.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in IT, including application design, development, and testing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM technologies.
• Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C#, C++, JSON, Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in DAX for creating calculations and KPIs within Power BI reports.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM technologies is a plus.
