Role description
About us We are fast-paced and our goal is to help individuals obtain meaningful work, be paid fairly, and have fun in the process!. We are seeking a highly skilled PowerApps Developer. The person must reside in Florida. In this role, you will act as a technical lead, responsible for designing scalable solutions, managing the application lifecycle, and navigating the complexities of Microsoftโ€™s licensing and governance frameworks. You will determine the right data strategiesโ€”balancing Dataverse and SharePointโ€”and ensure our environment remains secure, compliant, and cost-effective. Need manufacturing and ERP experience to understand the business challenges. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Development Design and develop robust Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps tailored to complex business requirements. Architect efficient data models, making strategic decisions between using Microsoft Dataverse (for relational complexity and security) versus SharePoint Lists (for lightweight applications), understanding the limitations and delegation issues of each. Build complex Power Automate flows involving approvals, scheduled triggers, and integration with external APIs (custom connectors). Governance & Strategy Licensing Strategy: Act as the subject matter expert on Power Platform licensing constraints. You will advise stakeholders on the cost implications of Premium connectors, per-app vs. per-user plans, and multiplexing rules to prevent unexpected costs. Enterprise Governance: Implement and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, manage environment strategies, and utilize the Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit to monitor platform adoption and health. Operations & ALM App Lifecycle Management (ALM): enforce professional deployment standards using Solutions (Managed vs. Unmanaged). Manage the promotion of code through Development, Test (UAT), and Production environments using Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines. Manage security roles, field-level security, and business units within the Dataverse environment. Required Skills To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate deep understanding in the following areas: Data Architecture: Expertise in Dataverse (entities, relationships, business rules, plugins) and SQL. Deep understanding of SharePoint limitations (e.g., the 2,000/5,000 item view threshold, delegation warnings) and how to index columns for query performance. Power Automate Logic: Proficiency with OData filter queries and Power Automate expression language (Workflow Definition Language) to handle arrays, JSON parsing, and error handling (Try/Catch/Finally scopes). ALM & Deployment: Experience using Power Platform Solutions for packaging and deploying assets. Knowledge of environment variables and connection references to ensure smooth migration between environments. Licensing & Governance: Ability to audit existing apps to determine if they require Premium licensing and suggest re-architecture if standard licensing is sufficient. Experience configuring DLP policies to block non-business connectors. Qualifications 5+ years of experience developing on the Microsoft Power Platform. Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook). Microsoft Certifications are a plus (e.g., PL-400: Power Platform Developer, PL-200: Functional Consultant, or PL-600: Solution Architect). Experience with PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) and TypeScript is a differentiator. If you are striving to reach this level, but aren't quite there yet, please don't hesitate to apply as the skills and attributes here can also be viewed as directional, given compensation restraints. Must be able to pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test.
