FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.
FDM is seeking a PowerApps Developer located in Jacksonville to support a project in the Financial Services sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 month period but may be extended.
This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.
About You
FDM is seeking a skilled PowerApps Developer to design, build, and support enterprise‑grade, large‑scale applications that enhance operational efficiency, enable automation, and modernize internal workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform, with demonstrated experience developing performant PowerApps solutions over large datasets in high‑usage environments.
This role partners closely with GTI engineering, operations, and risk teams to deliver secure, scalable, and data‑intensive digital solutions in a highly regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy large‑scale PowerApps solutions (Canvas and Model‑Driven) supporting global technology operations, service management, and workflow automation initiatives.
• Architect PowerApps solutions capable of handling large datasets, complex Dataverse data models, and enterprise‑level concurrency and performance requirements.
• Build and maintain Power Automate workflows, connectors, and integrations with enterprise data sources (Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, APIs, Azure services).
• Collaborate with GTI stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver scalable, maintainable applications aligned with FDM standards.
• Implement role‑based access controls (RBAC), data‑loss prevention policies, logging, and audit controls in compliance with bank risk requirements.
• Develop solution documentation, data models, and architectural diagrams supporting production deployment and long‑term scalability.
• Optimize existing PowerApps applications by improving delegation strategies, performance tuning, data structures, UI/UX components, and automation logic, particularly for large data volumes.
• Partner with engineering, InfoSec, and cloud teams on scalable solution architecture, integration patterns, and platform governance.
• Troubleshoot complex application and data issues, provide Level 2/3 support, and ensure stability and compliance across GTI‑managed applications.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross‑functional initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience developing applications using Microsoft PowerApps and the broader Power Platform.
• Strong proficiency in Canvas Apps, Model‑Driven Apps, and Dataverse, with direct experience designing and supporting applications that operate on large datasets (tens to hundreds of thousands of records or more).
• Proven experience implementing data‑efficient PowerApps solutions, including delegation techniques, optimized queries, scalable data models, and performance tuning.
• Experience integrating PowerApps with large or complex data sources, including Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint, APIs, or Azure‑based services.
• Advanced experience with Power Automate, custom connectors, Azure Logic Apps, or REST API integrations.
• Solid understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM), source control, DevOps pipelines, and solution deployment frameworks in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of secure development practices, RBAC, environment strategies, and data governance within large organizations.
• Experience developing or supporting applications in a regulated or financial services environment (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Power BI, SQL (including performance optimization), Azure Functions, or broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem integrations.
• Familiarity with ITSM workflows, GTI operational processes, or large‑scale infrastructure environments.
• Ability to lead solution design discussions focused on scalability, performance, and data architecture.
• Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
