Role description
Job Title: PowerBuilder Developer Location-Type: Remote (any timezone) Start Date Is: 4/6 Duration: 6+ months contract Compensation Range: $50/hr - $60/hr W2 Benefits:Β Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: Support and enhance a legacy PowerBuilder application by resolving bugs, improving performance, and maintaining critical functionality in a live customer-facing environment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: β€’ Maintain and enhance PowerBuilder-based legacy applications β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, defects, and performance issues β€’ Work with SQL databases including Sybase, SQL Server, and Oracle β€’ Clean up and support legacy data within customer systems β€’ Partner with business analysts, QA, product owners, and end users to gather requirements and deliver solutions β€’ Investigate root causes in a lightly documented environment and recommend effective fixes β€’ Document code, processes, and technical specifications β€’ Use Jira to manage and progress support and development tickets Requirements: Must-Haves: β€’ 5+ years of experience maintaining and supporting PowerBuilder applications β€’ Strong SQL and relational database experience β€’ Experience working with legacy systems in a production environment β€’ Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills β€’ Experience handling active bug fixes, performance issues, and application defects β€’ Ability to work independently and take ownership with minimal oversight β€’ Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders β€’ Professional demeanor with a logical, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset Nice-to-Haves: β€’ Experience with court or case management software β€’ Knowledge of the judicial system β€’ Experience supporting applications that integrate with Java web applications β€’ Prior Jira experience
