Sr. PowerBuilder Developer (Onsite – Richmond, VA) Job Type: Contract (4 months, with possibility of extension)Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite 3–4 days per week)Interview: Web Cam Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior PowerBuilder Developer to support and maintain a legacy Integrated Revenue Management System (IRMS) and to develop interfaces between modern tax processing platforms and legacy systems during an active modernization initiative. This role supports multiple phased rollouts and requires strong technical expertise and collaboration within an Agile team environment. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance legacy PowerBuilder applications Design and develop interfaces between modern and legacy tax systems Analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to system design Develop clear, maintainable, and well-documented code Collaborate with developers, analysts, and technical leads in an Agile environment Participate in design reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint activities Required Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience with PowerBuilder (version 12.5 or higher) 7+ years of experience with relational databases (Oracle 19c+, MySQL, or similar) Strong experience designing and developing maintainable code Experience using Azure DevOps / Team Foundation Server (TFS) for version control and ALM Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting Preferred Qualifications Experience with tax processing or revenue management systems Functional or technical knowledge of IRMS or similar legacy systems Job Type: Contract Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Richmond, VA 23173
