Job Description:
Architect and lead carrier API integrations (REST, SOAP, EDI, ACORD).
Design reusable frameworks to accelerate onboarding of new carriers.
Build AI/ML pipelines for document extraction, normalization, and data mapping.
Collaborate with AI teams to embed LLMs and vector search into underwriting workflows.
Lead and mentor engineers; set best practices in scalable SaaS and distributed systems.
Partner with DevOps on AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, Bedrock).
Ensure performance, scalability, and compliance with SOC2 and data security standards.
What You Bring
10+ years in software engineering (5+ in senior/principal roles).
Strong expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and AWS.
Familiarity with AI/ML, LLMs, and vector databases (MongoDB Atlas, Pinecone, Redis).
Deep knowledge of insurance carrier integrations and ACORD standards.
Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
Bonus: Experience with commercial insurance quoting, compliance, or Quasar/Vue.
