Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Cloud GCS Engineer in Englewood, CO. Summary: We are a fast-moving team looking for a Principal Engineer with a passion to Lead the transformation to DevOps and Continuous Delivery across the organization. You will work directly with the Development, QA, Support using agile methodologies, to implement innovative, reliable and secure solutions in Cloud. To be a good fit, you will need to have experience to lead multiple development projects, coaching and mentoring team members, support development and production environments and effective. Key Accountabilities: β€’ Work together with the development teams to bring new products into the cloud β€’ Design, implement and maintain GCS infrastructure including operation, security and compliance aspects β€’ Create process to perform continuous deployment, including full orchestration of deployment process β€’ Develop tools and scripts to improve efficiency of operational tasks β€’ Create and provide best practices to the organization for DevOps, SecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure β€’ Implement monitoring processes and design/deploy monitoring dashboards β€’ Build and support system automation, deployment, and continuous integration tools β€’ Thoroughly demonstrated working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology (processes, and deliverables) β€’ Help to maintain and monitor production environments β€’ Help to design and support internal development environments in GCS Operational β€’ Lead multiple development projects β€’ Coaching and mentoring of team members β€’ Support both development and production environments β€’ Effectively communicate project status, metrics, and issues Requirements β€’ 7-15 years of demonstrated experience β€’ 1-5 years of working with GCS β€’ 1-5 years of working in Linux environments β€’ 1-5 years of Scripting Languages with at Bash or Python β€’ 1-5 years of using Git SCM, GitHub, Gitlab β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills required β€’ Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience with Agile Methodology β€’ Experience in Cloud Infrastructures and Deployment Models β€’ Experience in understanding and execution of Cloud best practices with respect to Operations and Security β€’ Experience with GCS Services and CLI β€’ Container Infrastructure, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes β€’ Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory, DockerHub, GitHub β€’ Experience Administering Databases such as Postgres, Mongo, MySQL, and/or MSSQL The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
