Job Description
What You Will Do
Design an end-to-end Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) leveraging Apache Iceberg as the foundational table format.
Define best practices for data ingestion, table design, partitioning, schema evolution, and lifecycle management.
Open Stack experience:
Architect and utilize Apache Iceberg Metastore as the foundation layer across Snowflake or Athena etc.
Design REST-based metadata access using Apache Polaris to enable data processing/query layer.
Define best practices for SQL analytics using Apache Trino (Presto) as the primary query engine for Iceberg.
Enable BI and data visualization through Apache Superset.
Good understanding of Security, governance, and data access strategy.
Must have Skills
10+ years in data architecture, lakehouse, or large-scale analytics platforms.
Deep hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg.
Strong understanding of open table formats and metastores.
Experience with Apache Trino / Presto.
Familiarity with Apache Polaris or similar metadata / REST enablement patterns.
Experience designing Medallion architectures at enterprise scale.
