Job Summary:
Sanofi is seeking a visionary Principal Data Scientist to lead the development of advanced predictive models and AI solutions for healthcare within the E.D.G.E. Team. This role involves designing cutting-edge predictive models using machine learning techniques, driving data science initiatives across multiple therapy areas, providing technical leadership to a team of data scientists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into data science solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge predictive models using various machine learning and AI techniques.
Drive the strategic direction of data science initiatives across multiple therapy areas.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data scientists.
Evaluate and select appropriate modeling techniques and performance metrics based on specific problem statements.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into data science solutions.
Stay updated on advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and AI.
Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills:
PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
8+ years of experience in data science with a focus on healthcare or life sciences.
Expertise in machine learning algorithms and deep learning architectures.
Proficiency in Python or R and relevant data science libraries.
Experience working with large-scale healthcare datasets.
Strong understanding of statistical concepts and experimental design.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Biomedical Informatics, Engineering, Physics.
