Principal Data Scientist – Generative AI

We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist with deep expertise in Generative AI (GenAI) to design and develop advanced AI-driven solutions. This is a hands-on role focused on building AI agents, RAG systems, and GenAI applications to solve complex enterprise problems. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop AI Agents and Agentic Workflows • Build and implement RAG and Graph RAG architectures • Develop and optimize LLM-based solutions (prompt engineering, fine-tuning) • Implement semantic search and embedding-based retrieval systems • Work with vector databases and knowledge bases • Build solutions using Python (Jupyter, SageMaker, ML frameworks) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition solutions into production • Establish evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and responsible AI practices • Develop data ingestion pipelines (chunking, enrichment, anonymization) Required Qualifications • PhD in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (MANDATORY) • 10+ years of AI/ML experience, including 3+ years in GenAI/LLMs • Strong hands-on experience with: • RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) • Large Language Models (LLMs) • Prompt Engineering & Embeddings • Strong programming skills in Python • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks / ML environments • Understanding of SDLC and production deployment lifecycle • Experience with vector databases and semantic search Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Graph RAG • Experience building AI Agents / Agentic Systems • Familiarity with: • MCP (Model Context Protocol) • A2A (Agent-to-Agent communication) • Experience deploying GenAI solutions to production • Exposure to AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, MLFlow, Kubernetes/EKS) Pay Range: $80.00 - $85.00/Hr Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, (paid time , paid sick and safe time , hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually - AS Applicable) About Us: Collabera is a leading Digital Solutions company providing software engineering solutions to the world’s most tech-forward organizations.
