Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Cloud Automation Location: Remote - MUST be Eastern Time Zone (US/CAN) only Salary Range: $170,000 USD ($180,000 CAD) annually Bonus: 7% Benefits: Standard Visa Sponsorship: not accepted, transferred or sponsored due to company policy Interview Process • 1-hour interview with VP of Tech Ops • 1-hour team whiteboard session • 1-hour lab exercise Role Overview The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead the implementation of a cutting-edge CI/CD solution across enterprise environments, enabling fully automated build and deployment pipelines with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities. This role will serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in DevOps practices, cloud automation, and CI/CD architecture. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy • Act as a player-coach to scale and mentor DevOps team members • Provide CI/CD and DevOps tooling expertise across development teams • Evangelize automated build and release processes with quality gates and security integration Technical Implementation • Architect and implement reusable CI/CD pipeline models • Drive automation to eliminate manual steps in build/deploy processes • Guide teams on operational and procedural best practices • Support large-scale production deployments across on-prem and multi-cloud environments Collaboration & Support • Partner with program teams to align DevOps principles and toolchains • Troubleshoot systems across platform and application domains • Provide technical guidance on architecture and process improvements • Evaluate new technologies and vendor products Security & Documentation • Ensure system security using best-in-class cloud solutions • Maintain documentation for operational processes and environment configurations Required Qualifications • Must be located in Eastern Standard Time zone • Expertise in version control systems (GitHub, GitLab) • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarCube, Coverity • Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, etc.) • Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, Scalr, Packer, CDK, Bicep • Experience with configuration tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet • Familiarity with orchestration tools: Rundeck • Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, etc.) • 8+ years in CI/CD and DevOps practices • 8+ years of cloud computing experience • Expertise in version control systems (GitHub, GitLab) • Experience with container technologies: Docker, Swarm, Nomad • Knowledge of build tools: Nuget, Maven, ANT, Gradle • Solid cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Understanding of networking (SSL, PIP, Layer 2/3 protocols) • Experience with load balancing and reverse proxies (HAProxy, NGINX) • Agile methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban) • Familiarity with backlog tools (Jira or similar) • Monitoring tools experience (Elastic, Splunk) • Operating systems: Linux, Windows • Experience supporting multi-project development environments • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications • Office365 and Exchange Online experience • Mail security solutions (e.g., Mimecast) • Backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik) • Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP, VCDX, Microsoft/Azure) #TECH #Remote
