Location: Remote - MUST be Eastern Time Zone (US/CAN) only
Salary Range: $170,000 USD ($180,000 CAD) annually
Bonus: 7%

Role Overview
The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead the implementation of a cutting-edge CI/CD solution across enterprise environments, enabling fully automated build and deployment pipelines with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities. This role will serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in DevOps practices, cloud automation, and CI/CD architecture.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
β’ Act as a player-coach to scale and mentor DevOps team members
β’ Provide CI/CD and DevOps tooling expertise across development teams
β’ Evangelize automated build and release processes with quality gates and security integration
Technical Implementation
β’ Architect and implement reusable CI/CD pipeline models
β’ Drive automation to eliminate manual steps in build/deploy processes
β’ Guide teams on operational and procedural best practices
β’ Support large-scale production deployments across on-prem and multi-cloud environments
Collaboration & Support
β’ Partner with program teams to align DevOps principles and toolchains
β’ Troubleshoot systems across platform and application domains
β’ Provide technical guidance on architecture and process improvements
β’ Evaluate new technologies and vendor products
Security & Documentation
β’ Ensure system security using best-in-class cloud solutions
β’ Maintain documentation for operational processes and environment configurations
Required Qualifications
β’ Must be located in Eastern Standard Time zone
β’ Expertise in version control systems (GitHub, GitLab)
β’ Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarCube, Coverity
β’ Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, etc.)
β’ Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, Scalr, Packer, CDK, Bicep
β’ Experience with configuration tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
β’ Familiarity with orchestration tools: Rundeck
β’ Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, etc.)
β’ 8+ years in CI/CD and DevOps practices
β’ 8+ years of cloud computing experience
β’ Expertise in version control systems (GitHub, GitLab)
β’ Experience with container technologies: Docker, Swarm, Nomad
β’ Knowledge of build tools: Nuget, Maven, ANT, Gradle
β’ Solid cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
β’ Understanding of networking (SSL, PIP, Layer 2/3 protocols)
β’ Experience with load balancing and reverse proxies (HAProxy, NGINX)
β’ Agile methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban)
β’ Familiarity with backlog tools (Jira or similar)
β’ Monitoring tools experience (Elastic, Splunk)
β’ Operating systems: Linux, Windows
β’ Experience supporting multi-project development environments
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Office365 and Exchange Online experience
