Principal SSIS Data Engineer

Description Onsite in Chicago, IL Our client is a large U.S. financial institution with extensive retail and commercial banking operations across multiple states. The organization operates a broad branch and ATM network and ranks among the largest banks in the United States. Its history reflects the merger of predecessor institutions dating back to the early twentieth century. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities • Lead data engineering projects and provide direction to team members. • Own end-to-end release management through GitHub workflows and branching strategies. • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of SSIS packages. • Develop and enforce automated testing procedures for ETL processes. • Modernize SSIS platforms leveraging Snowflake, APIs, and Java. • Integrate testing and deployment tooling such as GitHub and Jenkins into delivery workflows. Experience Requirements • 10+ years of experience working with SSIS. • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and projects. • Proven experience integrating with GitHub and managing release processes. • Strong expertise in automating deployment of SSIS packages using CI/CD pipelines. • Experience developing automated testing procedures in the ETL space. • Proficiency in modernizing SSIS platforms using Snowflake, APIs, and Java. • Strong knowledge of automated deployment and testing tools such as GitHub and Jenkins. • Experience with AWS (preferred). • Experience in API development (preferred). Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
