Principal Statistician – Real World Analytics 📍 Remote (UK-based) ⏳ 2-year contract | Inside IR35 🚀 Start date: ASAP Our client is seeking an accomplished Principal Statistician to join their Real World Analytics team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your statistical expertise to impactful Real World Evidence (RWE) and Medical Affairs studies helping shape the future of healthcare insights. If you enjoy study design, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration (and prefer leading analysis over hands-on programming), this role offers the ideal mix of challenge, influence, and flexibility. The Role As Principal Statistician, you’ll lead statistical strategy and delivery across observational and interventional studies. You’ll guide study design, ensure high-quality analyses, and support scientific publications that advance real-world understanding of medicines. Key Responsibilities • Provide statistical leadership for Phase 4 and observational study protocols. • Develop and review Statistical Analysis Plans and related documentation. • Collaborate with programming, data management, and medical teams to validate and interpret results. • Contribute to abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for publication. About You • PhD or MSc in Biostatistics or Statistics. • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focused on Medical Affairs, RWE, or HEOR studies. • Strong knowledge of study design, RWD methodologies, and causal inference techniques. • Experienced with SDTM, ADaM, and statistical tools (SAS, R). • Familiar with advanced statistical models and machine learning methods. • Excellent communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines.
