Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive business analysis to understand core banking processes, identify opportunities for enhancement, and translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to plan, prioritize, and execute product development cycles aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
Design and develop data models and database schemas utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases to support banking applications.
Utilize data analysis tools such as R, Python, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, and Talend to extract insights from large datasets, perform trend analysis, and generate actionable reports.
Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ensure accurate data integration across multiple systems including Linked Data sources.
Create visual dashboards and reports that communicate complex analytics clearly to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Manage project timelines effectively by coordinating tasks using project management tools; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deliverables.
Design and optimize database structures through database design principles; implement automation scripts using VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or other scripting languages to streamline processes.
Support system testing phases by participating in SDLC activities such as requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
Maintain thorough documentation of processes, workflows, and system configurations using Visio or similar tools for clarity and future reference.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Product Analyst or Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry focusing on core banking systems.
Strong proficiency in SQL programming with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases; experience with database design is essential.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar platforms for analytics reporting.
Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies; ability to adapt quickly within fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of SDLC processes including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Technical skills in R and Python for data analysis; experience with ETL tools like Talend is highly desirable.
Ability to develop automation scripts using VBA or Bash (Unix shell) to improve operational efficiency.
Experience working with linked data sources and integrating diverse datasets for comprehensive analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets into meaningful insights for stakeholders.
