Title: Product Data Analyst
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 6+ months
Pay Range: ~60-70/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid in Foster City, CA
About The Opportunity
Our client, a leader in Autonomous Vehicle/Mobility, is looking for a skilled Product Data Analyst to join their team for a 6+ months engagement. This project involves analyzing vehicle and trip data, building data models, and providing actionable insights to understand and improve service performance and customer experience. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
β’ Data Processing & Cleanliness: Using SQL/Python to clean, process, and manipulate large datasets to ensure data accuracy and consistency, and transforming data into analytics-ready models where needed.
β’ Analysis & Reporting: Analyzing service performance and customer data, uncovering trends, providing end-to-end experience insights, and correlating rider feedback with service capabilities to inform the Product roadmap and feature prioritization.
β’ Visualization & Insights: Developing clear, concise visualizations and dashboards in Looker and/or Databricks to support decision-making, ensuring these tools provide actionable insights for Product managers, leadership, and other stakeholders.
β’ Ad-Hoc Analysis: Responding to ad-hoc analytical requests and performing targeted analyses to help answer key business questions or evaluate the impact of potential changes to the Product.
β’ Collaboration with Product and Data Science Teams: Working closely with data engineers and data scientists to establish metrics, data models, and insights; and with Product teams to ensure the work is aligned to Product priorities and maximizes customer impact.
Required Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
β’ 4+ years of experience in data analysis.
β’ Deep expertise in SQL, Python, and Pandas, along with experience creating and maintaining dashboards with tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools. This isn't a learning roleβyou need to be a subject matter expert.
β’ Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for problem-solving and customer impact.
β’ Experience with [e.g., Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, Git version control]. (Note: Education requirement is a Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.)
β’ Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a diverse, non-technical audience and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
