About the Role
NB This is a fixed term contract for a minimum period of 6 months.
We are looking for a motivated Product Data Analyst to join the vibrant Strategic Key Accounts team within our Education Division on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is to support OUPβs eCommerce sales channels with actionable insights, performance reporting, and data integrity. This role plays a critical part in optimizing sales by improving product discoverability and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of product data across all eCommerce platforms.
Duties of the role will include:
β’ Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as revenue, traffic, Buy Box ownership, and inventory health.
β’ Deliver weekly, monthly, and ad hoc performance reports to stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
β’ Leverage tools such as IDQ, Search Term, and SEO tools to uncover actionable insights.
β’ Monitor and report on customer behaviour, keyword performance, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
β’ Audit and maintain product metadata including titles, keywords, and categorization to ensure accuracy and completeness.
β’ Collaborate with Product and Content teams to input and update data in internal systems (e.g., STAR platform).
β’ Ensure data consistency across all eCommerce listings and internal databases to support discoverability and compliance.
β’ Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Content teams to support campaign planning and product optimization.
β’ Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Biblio and STAR database ensuring efficiency for eCommerce requirements. Maintain a high level of working knowledge of all systems.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
β’ Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in an e-commerce.
β’ Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills and ability to present data to non-technical audiences.
β’ Strong copywriting skills
β’ Experience with eCommerce Analytics (ARA), Brand Analytics, or similar tools (desirable)
β’ Experience with PIM systems or e-commerce content management tools (desirable)
