Job Title- Product Data Scientist Location- Remote Duration-5 Months Contract Job Description- The main function of the this role is to assist in Org Planning tool area data scientist coverage for client IC5 type of work - data science discovery analysis to identify opportunities with engineering actionable insights to help the product team to deliver cover value better and move the needle of the topline metrics; metrics definition, product / feature release reporting and adhoc data analysis. Job Responsibilities: • Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement. • Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data. • Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments. • Work with product engineers to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features and provide guidelines for large-scale implementation. • Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, which includes, but limited to support for the online customer service dashboards and other ad-hoc requests requiring data analysis and visual support. Skills: • 8+ years experience in data science, statistics, analytics and reporting • Experienced in either programming languages such as SQL, Python or R, big data tools such as Hadoop, or data visualization tools such as Tableau. • The ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics. • Experience working with large datasets. Purpose/Size of this team & where does this position fit within the team? Reporting to CWAM and will be on the HR tech org. Role will directly interact with a team of 20 engineers/mostly FTEs, 4 other DS FTE’s as well Projects: A/B Testing for HR ID Data, Data-based recommendations to help build models on user behaviors for analysis, providing decisions to prioritize projects based on needs of the company/team (business logic is key) Must-Have Skills 1 Python or R, SQL, Hadoop, Tableau, statistical knowledge 2 Stakeholder managements, share insights clearly, not too technical, operations background 3 Product Analyst experience, able to make decisions on key projects for team/should be prioritizing, able to sign off/prioritize projects using business logic Nice-to-have Skills 1.
