Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner to support the delivery of strategic business and technology capabilities within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB).
This role is ideal for an individual with experience in wholesale banking, commercial banking, institutional banking, lending technology, CRM platforms, or enterprise technology products who enjoys working closely with software engineering teams to turn business needs into executable requirements.
The Product Owner will partner with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define solutions, manage the backlog, create ready-to-build requirements, support Agile ceremonies, and ensure successful execution of roadmap objectives.
This is a hands-on delivery role focused on translating business outcomes into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria while helping teams deliver high-quality solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Product Delivery
• Own and maintain the team backlog.
• Translate features, epics, and business requirements into well-defined user stories.
• Develop clear acceptance criteria and business rules.
• Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready standards prior to sprint planning.
• Support feature decomposition and story sizing activities.
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with engineering and business partners.
• Partner with Scrum Masters and Engineering Leads to support sprint planning and execution.
• Help establish sprint goals and ensure work aligns with roadmap priorities.

Requirements Management
• Gather, document, and refine business requirements from stakeholders.
• Analyze current-state and future-state processes.
• Create user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional requirements.

• Ensure requirements are testable, measurable, and implementation ready.
• Maintain traceability between business objectives and delivered functionality.
• Support UAT planning and business validation activities.
Development Team Partnership
• Serve as the primary day-to-day product contact for assigned delivery teams.
• Answer implementation questions and make timely requirement decisions.
• Clarify business rules and priorities during development.
• Work alongside engineers, architects, QA, and UX resources to resolve ambiguities.
• Support defect triage and prioritization activities.
• Ensure delivered functionality meets intended business outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with Product Managers and senior stakeholders to understand strategic priorities.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate working sessions to refine requirements and align stakeholders.
• Support roadmap planning and quarterly prioritization processes.
• Build strong partnerships across business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams.
Enterprise & Control Responsibilities
• Consider regulatory, compliance, audit, and operational risk requirements during solution design.
• Ensure appropriate consideration is given to:
o Data quality
o Data lineage
o Entitlements and access controls
o Auditability
o Operational resiliency
o Exception handling
o Upstream and downstream system dependencies
• Support implementation within a highly regulated financial services environment.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Agile delivery experience.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing Agile backlogs.
• Experience working directly with software engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within large enterprise technology organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Lending, CRM, or related financial services platforms.
