Senior Product Owner – Provider Platforms & AI-Driven Product Delivery (REMOTE!!)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Senior Product Owner for a 6 month contracted position supporting next-generation healthcare provider systems. This role is focused on driving end-to-end provider lifecycle modernization across onboarding, credentialing, contracting, network management, claims integration, and member-provider interactions within an AI-first engineering environment. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare provider domain expertise combined with strong product ownership skills, data fluency, and hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate product discovery, design, and delivery.

What type of experience does the right candidate have:
• 8+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Architecture, or Provider Operations technology.
• Deep healthcare payer/provider domain expertise required.
• Strong experience with provider lifecycle workflows including:
• Provider onboarding and credentialing/re-credentialing
• Provider data management and directory accuracy
• Contracting, fee schedules, and network management
• TIN/NPI relationships and provider hierarchies
• Affiliation, participation, and roster ingestion/validation
• Claims integration and provider-facing workflows
• Experience working in Agile environments and modern product operating models.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data structures and provider ecosystems.
• Experience working with distributed engineering and enterprise platforms.
Preferred experience:
• FHIR, HL7, provider directory standards.
• Event-driven architecture and cloud-based systems.
• Graph-based relationship modeling.
• Data lineage and observability frameworks (OTEL concepts preferred).
• Experience using AI-assisted product tools for design, documentation, and prototyping.
What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:
• Own product vision, roadmap, backlog, prioritization, and execution for provider-centric platforms.
• Translate complex healthcare provider operations into scalable digital products and engineering requirements.
• Define and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and product specifications.
• Lead modernization efforts across provider lifecycle capabilities including onboarding, credentialing, contracting, network management, and claims integration touchpoints.
• Prioritize backlog based on business value, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and user experience improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement using product analytics, operational metrics, and stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data, Provider Operations, Claims, Network Management, Compliance, and Analytics teams.
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, stakeholder workshops, and product demos.
• Partner with engineering teams on APIs, schema contracts, event-driven integrations, and observability frameworks
• Leverage AI tools for wireframing, workflow visualization, story generation, documentation, and rapid prototyping.
• Promote AI-native product delivery practices across teams and encourage automation and standardization.
• Ensure alignment between business strategy and technical execution across all provider platform initiatives.
• Support scalable, traceable, and observable platform design aligned with modern engineering practices.
