Role description
Position: Project Management Analyst
Pay Rate: $26-30/hour
Location: Columbus, OH (5x week onsite)
Duration: Contract through the end of the year + extensions
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: M-F 8-4pm
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as an analyst in either a project management or financial environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI – ability to build dashboards and data tracking mechanisms.
• Ability to translate data into clear, leadership-ready insights.
• Experience with data related to project management – tracking spend, schedules, materials, etc.
• Strong communication skills – ability to work with Project Managers, Engineers, Finance, and leadership.
Plusses:
• Experience in the engineering, construction, or utility industries.
Day to Day:
Our team is looking for a project analyst to join our organization to track, manage, and translate data related to large capital construction projects. This person will be responsible from pulling data from different sources to update financial trackers (authorizations, spend, delinquency), and track schedule governance to mitigate project risk. We are looking for a strong communicator who loves data and uses creative and critical thinking to bring visibility to leadership! Responsibilities include:
• Standardize and govern project tracking, partnering with PMs to validate dates, manage delivery risk, and improve schedule reliability.
• Deliver weekly project and performance reporting with trend analysis and leadership visibility; use historical data for forward planning.
• Develop and manage a standardized PM Financial Dashboard providing project‑ and portfolio‑level visibility into authorizations, spend, and delinquent projects.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency through single-source reporting, centralized SharePoint, and validated data; enable Smartsheet/Power BI visuals.
• Lead end‑to‑end project ID and work order tracking to identify execution gaps, material risks, and readiness issues.
• Implement past‑due, delinquency, and long‑lead material tracking with forward-looking risk identification.
• Provide portfolio‑level scheduling and forecasting visibility, including baseline vs. forecast comparisons.
• Drive standard scheduling tools and cross‑functional alignment to improve accountability and delivery predictability.
