Project Controls Specialist Location: Juno Beach, FL - Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office) Pay Range: $41-$46 per hour Duration: 12-month contract Role Overview A leading organisation within the Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain sector is seeking a Project Controls Specialist. This role is well suited to candidates with a solid foundation in financial capital forecasting who are eager to apply their analytical skills within renewable energy sectors such as solar, battery storage, and wind technology. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and comfortable working extensively with financial data. Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial capital forecasts • Analyse financial data and produce reports to support business decision-making • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and organising financial data • Manage the monthly accrual process • Conduct variance analysis comparing actuals against forecasts/budgets • Build and maintain financial models in Excel to analyse trends and forecast performance • Develop and update spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting • Track project costs and forecast total project spend to ensure budget adherence • Support cost and schedule risk analysis • Assist in preparing financial presentations for senior stakeholders • Perform accounting unitisation activities to ensure compliance and accurate asset reporting • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Accounting, Treasury, Supply Chain, and Project Execution • Support ad hoc reporting and maintain project analytics tools Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation) • Basic understanding of financial statements and reporting • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Experience with SAP, Business Objects (BOBJ), and Power BI ...
